General
This privacy notice provides information on how Linecut Oy (“Linecut”) gathers and processes your information on the Linecut platform (“Platform”).
Please contact Linecut’s representative if you have any questions concerning the processing of your personal data.
Purposes for Processing and Legal Basis
Personal data is processed in order to manage orders and monetary transactions made through the Platform, provide customer service, to manage and to comply with legal obligations and for marketing purposes.
The legal purpose for the processing of personal data is your consent, the performance of a contract or Linecut’s legal obligation.
Linecut may prepare aggregated and statistical datasets based on personal data. It is not, however, possible to identify individuals from such data sets.
Personal data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling.
Categories of Personal Data
Linecut may process the following categories of personal data:
- Name
- Age
- Email address
- Phone number
- Oder history
- Information concerning payment instruments
- Information collected through customer service
Personal data is collected directly from you when you register to the Platform or make orders through the Platform.
The provision of personal data is not a statutory requirement. Providing certain personal data is required in order to use the Platform and to make orders.
Recipients
Linecut discloses personal data to the seller or service provider of the order made through the Platform, so that they may prepare and deliver the order to you.
Linecut may also disclose personal data to external service providers, i.e. data processors, who process personal data in accordance with instructions given by Linecut. Such processors are, for example, providers of the payment services available on the Platform. Linecut requires that such processors comply with data protection legislation and take appropriate measures to protect personal data. Data processors are not entitled to use personal data disclosed by Linecut for their own purposes.
Transfer outside the EU/EEA
Linecut does not generally transfer personal data outside of the European Union or the European Economic Area. Some data processors used by Linecut may, however, be located outside of the EU/EEA. In such cases Linecut ensures the level of protection of your personal data by, for example, requiring that the data processor accepts the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission as a part of the data processing agreement between Linecut and the data processor.
Storing of Personal Data
Linecut stores personal data only as long and only to the extent necessary that it is necessary for the purposes described above in Section 3.
Personal data is stored as long as the data subject’s Platform user account is active. After the user account is deleted, the personal data is erased without undue delay, unless, for example, accounting legislation requires the retention of the personal data or unless it is necessary for the processing of compensation claims.
Rights of the Data Subject
You may exercise your rights described in this Section 8 by contacting Linecut’s representative by email.
Linecut will inform you of the actions taken on your request within one month of receiving the request. You will also be notified if Linecut will not take action on the request.
Exercising your rights is generally free of charge.
Please take into account that in order to exercise your rights Linecut may need to request further information from you in order to identify you.
-
You may request confirmation as to whether Linecut processes your personal data. You may request information concerning the processing and access the personal data.
-
You may request Linecut to rectify or complete your personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
-
You may request Linecut to erase your personal data for example if it is no longer necessary.
Please note that Linecut is not able to erase data in all situations, for example if Linecut is legally obligated to store the data or if there is another legal basis for storing the data.
You may ask that the processing of your data is restricted in certain instances, for example if you have contested the accuracy of your personal data, in which case the processing is limited during the period Linecut verifies the accuracy.
Restricting the processing of personal data means that your personal data may only be processed on very limited grounds defined in data protection legislation.
You may at any moment object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
If your personal data is processed on the basis of consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.
You may under certain conditions request to receive your personal data from Linecut and to transmit said data to another data controller.
You may file a complaint with the supervisory authority if you think that Linecut does not process your personal data appropriately or exercise your rights in an adequate manner.
